Tiger Style's iOS game Spider: The Secret of Bryce Manor sold well when it came out as a premium title back in 2009.

But the App Store and the players it serves has changed a lot in those six years since. Tiger Style has learned this all too well after releasing the sequel to Spider this year, Rite of the Shrouded Moon.

In a revealing interview with PocketGamer.biz, Tiger Style laments how selling a premium game on the App Store is now much harder in a market dominated by free to play games.

"[I knew] the biggest companies would come along and colonize the market, establishing the rules about how games make money and locking the rest of us out of the majority of the revenue," says Tiger Style co-founder Randy Smith in the interview.

"While I was participating in this interview, Clash of Clans probably made more money than I'll make in my entire life."

Smith noted that Tiger Style has won awards for its games in the past, has had strong partner support, and for Rite of the Shrouded Moon the studio had a large team of talented collaborators. But none of this seems to have made much difference.

"The amount of attention and praise we've seen from players, critics, and press for Shrouded Moon is even more than our other games (both of which won Game of the Year awards, so that's saying something), but the sales have been very disappointing and even alarming," Smith said.

Tiger Style's co-owner David Kalina brings the disappointing sales figures into sharp focus: "At the moment, our expectation is about 1/3 the return of the original Spider for 5 times the man-hours."

Kalina even jokes that if things don't turn around then Tiger Style's team will have to find jobs elsewhere. Sure, it's a joke now, but the prospects may not be so far off at this rate, it would seem.

You can read the whole interview, which goes into the making of Rite of the Shrouded Moon too, over on PocketGamer.biz.

Seriously, trying to get a Switch is proving to be just as hard as getting an NES Classic Mini, and we all know how impossible that is. According to Gamestop.ie there could be stock in as early as next week.

Sorry folks, despite a trickle of stock coming into Toys R Us and Tesco overnight it sold out within the hour. Whisper on the wind suggest you should still check in with your local shops though, just in case they've got any stashed away.

On the positive side of things at least Gamestop and Amazon have confirmed dates for stock. The now-Ireland-based branch of Gamestop is currently accepting pre-orders on their website for both Grey and Neon consoles. The telling sign here is in its title:'Reserve now for delivery next week'. As everything's in euros though, you might be paying a little more due to the conversion.

Amazon on the other hand are plodding forward and should be getting more stock on March 31st for both versions of the Switch. There are third party sellers offering to sell you the console of your desires for a wildly inflated price but it's up to you whether you go for them or not (I'd suggest not).

As always we'll be keeping a close eye on the stock daily, and best of luck Switch hunters.

The game supports crossplay with the Xbox One version of the game (as Sony continues to drag its feet), and it runs at a sleek 60 frames per second.

We gave Paladins a Bronze Award for its exciting matches and interesting blend of MOBA mechanics. There’s deck building in there, as well as a smattering of RTS elements, and of course, the Overwatch inspiration rings through loud and clear.

You can download Paladins on the eShop right now for free.

Mojang's plan is to add new countries every week between now and the end of the year so as many folks as possible can head out and dabble with pixelated blocks in the real world.

To coincide with this announcement they've also released a new trailer giving players an idea of what to expect when Minecraft Earth makes its way to their region which you can see below. We don't learn anything particularly new from it however, it more just shows some glimpses of the game in action.

You'll have your creative mode that you're likely familiar with if you played any amount of Minecraft where you'll be able to assemble your creations on a kitchen table. You'll then be able to take that to a location with more space and see your hard work realised on a much grander scale.

3、"I--don't--know," said Captain Jim thoughtfully. "Eliphalet Baxter lived too much alone--hadn't even a cat or dog to keep him human. When a man is alone he's mighty apt to be with the devil--if he ain't with God. He has to choose which company he'll keep, I reckon. If the devil always was at Life Baxter's elbow it must have been because Life liked to have him there."
